Newark Day Center conducts training sessions for entry-level people who wish to obtain their Child Development Certification through the Early Childhood Institute.
The Early Childhood Institute provides on-site/local customized training for your staff to obtain their Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. As a licensed childcare center receiving the NJ Child Care Subsidy or as a member of Grow NJ Kids, non-degreed staff members are eligible to receive a scholarship to pay for training and for their CDA Exam.
Those who complete the program receive:

- 120 CDA Instructional Hours
- 10 Portfolio Test Preparation Hours
- On-site/Local Instruction
- Small Class Size (10-15 participants)
