We are looking forward to an exciting Gala for 2019!
The 2019 Annual Gala is going to be a grand celebration for those who support the Newark Day Center and our activities.
We are now reaching out to our past donors and the business community for much-needed support with a Benefit Gala celebrating our 216 years of service and honoring the legacy of the late Trish Morris-Yamba, who served as the Executive Director for the Center and for the Fresh Air Fund for several decades. While some of our services have changed over the years to meet the needs of the times–including establishing the Fresh Air Fund–the mission of Newark Day Center remains the same as it was in 1803: to provide “some means for caring for the poor and distressed persons” of Newark.
We are excited to have ten honorees this year.
